Chasin' That Neon Rainbow

I made this birthday card for my oldest daughter.....she has an old blue VW bus and she loves rainbows so it was perfect for her.  It was also inspsired by the song "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow" by one of my favorite country artists Alan Jackson.

The rainbow was made using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons with CTMH Shimmer Brush over the top to make it sparkle.  The sentiment is also from CTMH but is no longer available (sorry...I don't ever remember how old it is).  The VW bus is a Marianne Design Creatables cutting die, and I added an acetate windshield.  The flowers are Petaloo .  The woodgrain border was created using a woodgrain embossing folder and Tim Holtz Distress Ink .  It's a fun card and everything came together beautifully.

I actually found some wonderful challenges for this...
Hiding In My Craft Room - #291 Spring Colors
Heart 2 Heart Challenges - Time To Dream
Make My Monday - #41 Colours of the Rainbow

(I used the center column...diminsion, bright colors, and birthday)

  3. Love Alan Jackson, love that song and I love your card. Those VW were so visible in the 60s. I remember seeing some painted in all kinds of colors and designs.
