DIY Vinyl Nail Wraps

I don't know about you, but I get tired of my nail polish chipping, and I don't want to spend a fortune on the "famous brand" of nail wraps.  Being a crafter I also do vinyl graphics and know that adhesive vinyl is known as "temporarily permanent" and withstands the elements, so one day I decided to make my own nail wraps.

My daughter and I love these and have been doing it for a while and finally decided to share it with YOU!

Chasin' That Neon Rainbow

I made this birthday card for my oldest daughter.....she has an old blue VW bus and she loves rainbows so it was perfect for her.  It was also inspsired by the song "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow" by one of my favorite country artists Alan Jackson.

The rainbow was made using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons with CTMH Shimmer Brush over the top to make it sparkle.  The sentiment is also from CTMH but is no longer available (sorry...I don't ever remember how old it is).  The VW bus is a Marianne Design Creatables cutting die, and I added an acetate windshield.  The flowers are Petaloo .  The woodgrain border was created using a woodgrain embossing folder and Tim Holtz Distress Ink .  It's a fun card and everything came together beautifully.

I actually found some wonderful challenges for this...

Bible Journaling For The Creative Soul - Using Distress Crayons

I love reading about Noah and his faith and obedience to God.  It fills me with hope and strengthens my faith.

For today's Bible journaling I decided to use Tim Holtz Distress Crayons.  I love that I can watercolor with them and they don't bleed through.
