Tea Party - Shaker Card

My very first shaker card!!!
I got this amazing teapot die from Paper Sweeties
and couldn't wait to use it!

I cut the teapost from this beautiful paper I have from Docraft, and then cut the circle out with a Sizzix scalloped circle die so that the "tea" would show through.  I can't give a full description here on how to make a shaker card, but I might do a YouTube video soon.  The "tea" in the pot is Doodlebug Chunky Sugar Coating glitter, "Bon Bon", and the "tea" coming out of the spout is matching Doodlebug sequins.  The cupcakes are from a CTMH stamp set my best friend gave me, and the teacups are from a stamp set that came with my Quick Cards Made Easy magazine.  All of the images are stamped on glossy cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  There is a paper doily behind it all to give it an elegant look.
I have to say that this is one of my favorite cards I have ever made....and I was lucky enough to have it featured in the October 2015 issue of Quick Cards made Easy :)

I am entering this card in a few challenges.....

Amazing Wedding Card with CTMH

I just had to share this amazing wedding card....
well bridal card....that I made with the help of the
CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.

This card is from the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge....but the front was decorated with the Cricut Cuttlebug Flower Bramble Cut & Emboss die, and the label was cut using Sizzix Majestic Label dies.  The labels on the inside were cut using Sizzix Scalloped Ovals.  The gown was "painted" with Perfect Pearls and embelished with adhesive pearls, and a ribbon tied around the waist.

This has become my "go to" card for brides.  There are many amazing cards on the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge, and they are all easy to make.  You can make them exactly how the cartridge shows, or you can improvise and make your own creations like I did.

My CTMH consultant is Sandy Taylor.  You can shop with her at www.sandytaylor.ctmh.com

My Saturday Sunsational Stamps DT Project

Hi everyone!  This is my Saturday DT project for Sunsational Stamps.  I fell in love with this adorable image, #53 Mouse Under Flower, and had to use it.  It was perfect for creating a 3D image....something I really like.

Instead of explaining here how I did it, I made a YouTube video for you to watch HERE on my YouTube channel.

You can find that adorable stamp HERE at Sunsational Stamps

Sunsational Stamps - Daisy

The second I saw this adorable Sunsational stamp
"Daisy" girl I knew I had to make a card with her!

I knew immediately that I wanted to stamp the image twice, color one image, and then just color the daisies on the second one, cut them out and layer them on the image to give it a dimensional look.  I colored the daisies, leotard & tights with Twinkling H20 water colors.  I colored her skin with a Spectrum Noir marker.  Her hair, boots, and snail are colored with Distress markers.  And her eyes and lips are colored with Smooch.  LOL...I can't seem to color with just one thing.  And that flowered cardstock was just the perfect touch.

I recently learned how to make a twisted easel card and had to try it.  Click HERE to see my YouTube video that includes a short tutorial on how to make one....

Here are close ups so you can see the dimension...and also how cute this image is.

Guest Designer Creation

Hi everyone!!!  I'm so excited to share this card with you.
I created this for my Guest Designer spot at

I may have to do a video tutorial on this card and put it on YouTube....
if I do I will post it on here.  But for now I will tell you how it came to be..
As you can see this is an easel card.  It didn't start out that way though.  There is an awesome pocket card I make by doing some simple folds....but I decided I wanted to make a square one intead of an 5 1/2"x4 1/4"....so I experimented and it worked.  But while playing around with it I decided I liked it better with the pockets facing up.  Then I realized it would not stand up by itself.....and that is how it became an easel card :)

The beautiful pink flowered cardstock I used is off from Sherri Baldy's Little Sweeties CD-ROM (a MUST HAVE CD).  The adorable 3D image is one of Sherri Baldy's Besties called Blue Girl....she happens to be my favorite.  You can find Sherri Baldy's store HERE  The square doily looking edges were done with a Martha Stewart punch.  A round paper doily was folded and placed in the bottom pocket, and a tag in the top pocket.  I added some glittery self-adhesive trim to the edge of each pocket.  The stamped sentiments are from HOTP (at Paper Wishes) called Heartfelt Greetings.

Thanks for visiting....I hope you like the card :)

I decided to enter this gorgeous card in a few challenges :)

Mother's Day Card

So Mother's Day has come and gone...but it's never too late for the inspiration....I plan ahead :)

I love the teapot and flowers stamp & die set from Sizzix Graphic 45.  I also love the paper doilies I have.  It came to me one night, while I was half asleep, that they would go great together.  So the next day I got up and started this creation.  My love for easel cards, pearls, and ribbons just brought it all together.  Oh, and I can't forget the tag....from HOTP Paper Artist Tags & Trims...and the sentiment from Close To My Heart.  And then I decided it was perfect a few challenges that I have listed below.

I hope this has inspired you and maybe you will come up with something for a card challenge or two!

My Besties Pretty Pre-colored Printables

I am thrilled to announce that I have been chosen as the Guest Designer for the next challenge at
My Besties Pretty Pre-colored Printables

And here is the entry that earned me that honor...

I love decorating things. I painted the flower pot with one of my favorite painting techniques and added lace trim and ribbon. The flowers are made of Core' dinations cardstock. The adorable fairy is a Sherri Baldy My Bestie image and I used glitter gel pens, Stickles, and added my favorite embellishments....gems/rhinestones :)
