I purchased this Gone Fishin digital kit from Taylormadecards4u a few months ago to make this card for my husband for Father's Day....and I loved it so much I had to make one for our son for his birthday!

Sweet & Easy Card

Last year I received a wonderful pack of papers/cardstock from Paper Temptress and fell in love. I only made one video using them because I thought she had gone out of business and didn't see a reason to "tempt" people to get something that was no longer available. But recently I discovered that Paper Temptress DIDN'T close the store! So you will be seeing more from me using her products.

Here is my recent card using Amethyst Mica/Metallic cardstock. It is really sturdy and I knew it would be perfect for using with my We R Memory Keepers Next Level embossing folders. (I will have review on my YouTube channel in the near future on these embossing folders and it may not be what you think....so don't miss it). I wish you could see the subtle Mica/Metallic sheen of this cardstock but I couldn't get it to show up in the picture. Same with the beautiful Silver Laser Lustre cardstock I used for the butterflies and the Best Wishes. The cardstock cuts beautifully with my dies and I am planning a video in the near future to share that, and maybe in the video you will be able to see the beautiful shimmer better. I love how the elegance of the cardstock makes it easy to make a beautiful card.

Floating Card - A Clear background Illusion

I have been wanting to do a "Floating Card" for a couple years and just never got around to it until now.

What is a floating card you ask? It is a card that appears to have a freestanding front and/or images floating in mid-air. This illusion is created by using something like acetate, PVC sheets, or what some people call "clear cardstock".
