EASY 6" x 6" Flip & Fold Mini Album Photo Folio Tutorial

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to my blog!

I designed this Flip & Fold Mini Album many years ago, but in a couple different sizes.... 5" x7" and 4" x 4".... and this one is a 6" x 6".  It is not complicated at all as you will see in my YouTube video tutorial 😊

You can get all of the measurements and instructions by clicking HERE to watch my video.

A heads up.... my tutorial is on how to make the album, but not how to add all the extras.  Everyone has their own style and may not be interested in what I added.  If you see something I added that you would like to learn how to make, just leave me a comment and let me know.  I might already have a video tutorial or can make a video in the future.

This album has pages and pockets for many pictures, journaling, and other things.  It's perfect for pictures of a specific event, like arrival of a baby, or a birthday, or vacation.  It is the perfect size for 4" x 4" photos, or 3" x 5" photos.

This album is easier than it looks.  I hope you stop by and watch😊

EASY Split Bow Card A2 Size

Hi everyone!  Welcome to my blog!

Last week on my YouTube channel I did a tutorial on how to make a Split Bow card.  I chose to make it an A2 size, and horizontal.

It can also be turned vertically.

As you know, I do my tutorials in a YouTube video, and you can watch and follow along by clicking HERE

This card is easy to make even though it looks fancy.  The card base and layers are the same as you would do for your A2 size card.  The bow uses a 6" x 5" piece of double sided patterned paper.  You will also want something to put in the center, whether it's a die cut, piece of ephemera, or sentiment.  That is all you will need!  My video shows how to make the bow 😊

As always the products used are in the video description box, but today I'm also going to include here.

Cowgirl Up ephemera

This style card has so many possibilities! I hope you give it a try 😊

This technique is EASY FOR EVERYONE!

First I would like to explain WHY I send you to my YouTube videos to watch the tutorials.....

I find it easier to teach you by SHOWING you while TELLING you, and I'm not good at putting everything in writing.  And for many people it is also easier to learn when you can SEE the process in action.  So I hope you don't mind.

In this video I'm showing how easy it is to add a pop-up feature to any card.  I will be adding a pop-up birthday cake πŸŽ‚

You may have gotten the idea just by looking at these pictures, but if you would like to watch my tutorial video on YouTube, please CLICK HERE

Be sure to come back in July for some Christmas inspiration!

Easy Fan Fold Card - No Cutting Dies

Fan Fold Card - No Cutting Dies

This card fold tutorial is on my YouTube channel, but I thought it would be nice for you to have the measurements written for easy copying.  If you haven't seen the video tutorial, you can click HERE to watch on YouTube.

No cutting dies!  Easy cutting!  Easy assembly!

You will need two different colors of cardstock, and two different patterned papers.

5" x 6.5" card base (cardstock "Color 1")

This can either be done by cutting .5" off a 5" x 7" card base

Or

Using a 6.5" x 10" piece of cardstock and score down the middle at 5"

On the TOP edge of FRONT of card measure in 3" from the fold of the card and pencil a tiny mark.  Cut the FRONT from that mark to the bottom right corner.  Save the piece you cut off!!!

Front of card

Cut a piece of cardstock 4.75" x 6.25" from Cardstock Color 2

On the top edge measure 2.75" from the left and pencil a tiny mark.  Cut from that mark to the bottom right corner.  Save the piece you cut off!!!

Cut a piece of patterned paper 4.5" x 6" (if using 6" x6" paper, save the 1.5" x 6" for small triangle)

On the top edge measure 2.5" from the left and pencil a tiny mark.  Cut from that mark to the bottom right corner.  Save the piece you cut off for small triangle!!!

Cut all of the following pieces from top left corner to bottom right corner

Cardstock Color 1

4" x 5.5" for large triangle

2" x 6.5" for small triangle (this is optional and explained in the video)

Cardstock Color 2

3.5" x 5" for large triangle

1.75" x 5.5" for small triangle (this is optional and explained in the video)

Patterned Paper

3" x 4.5" for large triangle

1.5" x 4.75" for small triangle (this is optional and explained in the video)

Inside of card

Cardstock Color 2 layer 4.75" x 6.25"

Cardstock Color 1 layer 4.25" x 6"

On the top edge of this layer measure 2.75" from the left and pencil a tiny mark.  Cut from that mark to the bottom right corner.  Save the piece you cut off!!!

You will see that I say to save the extra pieces.  By doing this you will be able to TWO sets of triangles that can be used on a second card.

All of the instructions are in the video.  Please watch to see how this card is put together.

This absolutely gorgeous card fold is very easy to make, and nothing complicated.  Enjoy!

Catching Up What's Been Happening On My YouTube Channel

 Hello everyone!

Again, time has slipped by since I last did a post here.  I'm so sorry and haven't forgotten about you all.  As usual there has been much going on in my life and I get distracted.  But in this post I will bring you up to date.

BUT FIRST......

Please HYPE my videos! πŸ©·πŸ™πŸ©·

This is a new feature if you use the YouTube app on your phone to watch my videos. It is only available for small channels, like mine, and you can only HYPE during the first 7 days, so please do it right away after each new video. The option is below the videos and if you can't readily see it, you can also scroll the bar that has the likes and other info and you will find it. This will help my channel so much and I would appreciate it more than words can say. If you are unfamiliar with this process I found a video on YouTube that explains it

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT HYPE MY VIDEOS!!! I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH πŸ©·πŸ™πŸ©·

Ok, now let's take a look at what's been happening on my YouTube channel since I last posted.
Actually since there has been so much, I'm just going to put a thumbnail picture, video link, and brief description so that this post doesn't become too long and boring.

If you like to make candles, or want to get started, this is a fun technique when you don't have a candle mold
CLICK HERE TO WATCH my tutorial.

I love this altered tin can that I decorated with a napkin! And the candle is actually one I salvaged and it just happened to fit! A true Trash To Treasure! Watch my process by clicking HERE

Do you remember the Triptych Easel Card With A Twist that I designed last year? Well, this is a variation of that, and that cake is actually a shaped card! You have to see this to get the whole affect. You can watch my tutorial HERE

Do these cards look familiar? Well that is the same thumbnail I used years ago for my tutorial on this card fold. I recently used this fold for a card I made for my daughter welcoming her new baby. I didn't want to use a picture of the card because it has the baby's picture on it. Also, I thought this picture shows that this card fold is for more than just baby cards. To see my new card click HERE and the link to the old tutorial will be in the video description box.

Do you like using card sketches? Have you done that before? Do you prefer other sizes than A2 (4.25" x 5.5")? I used Kendra's Card Challenge 21 card sketches and show how easy it is to create larger cards with them! Of course, as usual, I also made a few changes adding a little of my own creativity 😊 You can get a better look at these in my YouTube video HERE

And here is my latest! It started off as a Light Up birthday card....and....it evolved into something else. I'm not going to spoil it for you, you'll have to watch 😊 Even if you aren't into Alice In Wonderland, I think you will get some ideas from this that will spark your creativity! Click HERE to fall down the rabbit hole of this creation 😊

Well that's it for now. That pretty much brings you to where I'm at now. Oh, don't forget to check out my channel every Sunday for short 2-3 minute Bible devotionals. The book I'm working out of now is definitely worth listening too.

Take care and thanks for stopping by.
AND....
Don't forget....
PLEASE HYPE MY VIDEOS!
THANK YOU 🩷

HAPPY CRAFTING!!!

Box Step Easel Card Tutorial & Christmas Card Inspiration πŸŽ„

 Hi Everyone!!!

I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving!

Now it's time to start preparing for Christmas!

To help you out I have some Christmas card inspiration for you

...AND....

a new take on an old card fold!

I love easel cards, but just like last year when I came up with the Triptych Easel Card With A  Twist, this year I took a basic easel card and added a new element to it and am calling it a

 Box Step Easel Card!

So the easel part of the card is the same as any easel card, but instead of a slightly raised object as the stopper, I have added a box step!  And what's so special about that you ask?  Well, as you can see, it provides a place to add more elements/embellishments, creating a wonderful sense of dimension.

Click HERE to watch my tutorial on YouTube

The cutting dies are from InLoveArts

The paper is from the Not 2 Shabby Shop

Links to the products I used are in the video description box.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!
