A friend's little boy is having his 3rd Birthday next week and I wanted to make him a special card. I thought a shaker card is perfect for a 3 year old because they are fun to shake and watch the sparkle things move around :)
I used my Cricut Explore and "Stretch Your Imagination" cartridge to cut the present out of the fun cardstock to create the window for the shaker part of the card.....I put the present cutout aside to put on the inside. I cut the "ribbon" layer to attach to the front. I put Duralar (an acetate substitute) behind the cut out space for the shaker. I cut 2 more presents with the same cartridge. Happy Birthday was cut with the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge. The balloon was cut using my Cuttlebug and Sizzix Balloons & Cupcakes stamp & die set. And of course I filled it with sequins and other pretty things :)
I'm happy with the way it came out and decided to enter some challenges with it.
