Cardmaking Inspiration For You!!!

 Hi everyone!

June always makes me think of Summer.....but here in Montana we have been having more rain than sunshine.  I'm not crazy about rain, but I'm not complaining because I haven't had to water the lawn so far this year and it's nice and green 😊

Ok.....so on to the cardmaking!

This weekend I put up two very short cardmaking videos to inspire you....links are below to the videos, as well as some pictures.

For these cards I used the Heart Shape and Lines cutting dies

from InLoveArts

For the first card I used all of the pieces of the die set, and my scraps from my Prima Marketing Rose Quartz paper pad and Old Rose 111# cardstock from Paper Temptress It's a great way to use those scraps that I know all of us hang onto 😊

For the second set of cards I only used the main cutting die and NOT all the additional dies. This technique is great to mix and match, especially if you want to make several cards. The more cards you make and the different papers you use will give you more pieces to mix and match. For those two cards I used an old scrap from my stash, and Teal BASIS 80# cardstock from Paper Temptress.

Hello Spring....or Summer!

 Sorry it's been a while....there is still a lot going on and some days I don't even know what day it is.  So remembering to post is something I really need to work on.

I love home decor projects and lately have been working with some Rustic DIY Maker Boxes from Little Rockies Rustic.  Katie has some wonderful kits.....some are monthly subscriptions and some you can just buy anytime.  I love that even though they come with everything you need.....pieces already cut, paints, brushes, glue, etc......you can still add your own flair to them.

I made this Welcome sign a few weeks ago.  Watch and see how I made it and what I added and techniques I used.

And here is the sign I made in today's video.  I used my favorite technique to get that weathered look (you'll see that in the video), and added the  butterfly, and made the banner reversible....one side says SPRING and the other side says SUMMER.  I love adding my own touch to things like this.
