I thought that bookmarks would make great Valentine's for kids....whether you are giving them to the kids or making them with the kids for their friends. And these are so easy!
You will need patterened cardstock, ribbon or yarn, stickers or die cuts, and a Valetine stamp if you have one. I will put links below the die cuts and stamp that I used. You can cut the cardstock to whatever size you want the bookmark to be. Mine are aprox. 2" x 6"
For this first bookmark I used a scalloped edge blade on my paper trimmer (you could use decorative scissors). Next I stamped it with the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from InLoveArts (can you believe it's only $2.35). I added some hearts that I made with a punch (you could add stickers if you want), and punched a hole at the end for the ribbon.
For this next one I also used the scalloped blade, then I added a die cut phrase, You are my Sunshine, from the Phrase Art Words Dies from InLoveArts (this set comes with 5 phrase dies), and and again I punched the hole in the end and added some ribbon. The flower is part of the cardstock but you could always add some stickers or die cuts.
For this one I didn't use the scalloped edges but I did round the corners with a corner rounder. You can do that with scissors if you don't have a corner rounder or you could even use a decorative punch. Like the first bookmark I stamped it with the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from InLoveArts and added some hearts that I made with a punch and punched a hole at the end for the ribbon.
For this last bookmark I did the same as the previous one but this time I used the phrase Lots of Love from the Phrase Art Words Dies from InLoveArts, and instead of ribbon I used a piece of fluffy yarn and some twine/string.
I hope this gives you some ideas of your own. Making simple Valentines for kids OR with kids is always fun.

My cardstock was from an old pad in my stash but you can use what you have on hand, and the same with ribbons or yarn.
