Guest Designer Creation

Hi everyone!!!  I'm so excited to share this card with you.
I created this for my Guest Designer spot at

I may have to do a video tutorial on this card and put it on YouTube....
if I do I will post it on here.  But for now I will tell you how it came to be..
As you can see this is an easel card.  It didn't start out that way though.  There is an awesome pocket card I make by doing some simple folds....but I decided I wanted to make a square one intead of an 5 1/2"x4 1/4"....so I experimented and it worked.  But while playing around with it I decided I liked it better with the pockets facing up.  Then I realized it would not stand up by itself.....and that is how it became an easel card :)

The beautiful pink flowered cardstock I used is off from Sherri Baldy's Little Sweeties CD-ROM (a MUST HAVE CD).  The adorable 3D image is one of Sherri Baldy's Besties called Blue Girl....she happens to be my favorite.  You can find Sherri Baldy's store HERE  The square doily looking edges were done with a Martha Stewart punch.  A round paper doily was folded and placed in the bottom pocket, and a tag in the top pocket.  I added some glittery self-adhesive trim to the edge of each pocket.  The stamped sentiments are from HOTP (at Paper Wishes) called Heartfelt Greetings.

Thanks for visiting....I hope you like the card :)

I decided to enter this gorgeous card in a few challenges :)

Mother's Day Card

So Mother's Day has come and gone...but it's never too late for the inspiration....I plan ahead :)

I love the teapot and flowers stamp & die set from Sizzix Graphic 45.  I also love the paper doilies I have.  It came to me one night, while I was half asleep, that they would go great together.  So the next day I got up and started this creation.  My love for easel cards, pearls, and ribbons just brought it all together.  Oh, and I can't forget the tag....from HOTP Paper Artist Tags & Trims...and the sentiment from Close To My Heart.  And then I decided it was perfect a few challenges that I have listed below.

I hope this has inspired you and maybe you will come up with something for a card challenge or two!

My Besties Pretty Pre-colored Printables

I am thrilled to announce that I have been chosen as the Guest Designer for the next challenge at
My Besties Pretty Pre-colored Printables

And here is the entry that earned me that honor...

I love decorating things. I painted the flower pot with one of my favorite painting techniques and added lace trim and ribbon. The flowers are made of Core' dinations cardstock. The adorable fairy is a Sherri Baldy My Bestie image and I used glitter gel pens, Stickles, and added my favorite embellishments....gems/rhinestones :)

Creative Artiste Challenge

Guess what!  I just learned how to link my posts to challenges!!!  And that's a good thing because I entered this altered picture frame in a challenge at
Creative Artiste Challenge Blog

UPDATE....This frame made TOP 3....WooHoo!!!
Thank You!!!

I white washed the frame, then stamped and embossed the Eifle Tower and other images on the frame.  Then I added some ribbon, lace, and gems.  The word Bonjour was cut out with my Cricut, and the words in the frame were printed on a vintage looking paper.

Sunsational Stamps

A while back I won a stamp set from
Sunsational Stamps
and I just wanted to say THANK YOU
by posting pictures of a couple simple things I made with them.  BTW....they are soooo ADORABLE!!!
The stamps set I got is called Arctic Critters...
Here is a link to where you can find this stamp set and others.

This is a sweet and simple card using the adorable bear from the Arctic Critters set.
The technique I used to make the background is something I will be sharing in a YouTube video soon :)

I used this cute little whale from the Arctic Critters set to make this dishwasher magnet (thanks Jen Evers for the idea).  I could have decorated it a little more and probably will when I make up my mind on what to do...lol...anyone else ever have that dilemma?  I actually made one and put Liquid Glass over the whale, but there was too much glare when I tried taking a pictures....but it is an awesome effect!

Here is what comes with this stamp set....

I'm looking forward to making many more projects with these adorable stamps.
Stop by Sunsational Stamps and check out ALL the awesome stamps they have :)
