Valentine Kisses

Valentine's Day is here and I have been having fun making some cards. 

I made this one with a certain challenge in mind.  Scrapbook Blessings Club's challenge is unique this month....it is Christmas Card Valentine and you need to make a Valentine using some of your Christmas stash.

Here is my creation....

I made a center step card and decorated it with some Christmas Candy cardstock and a bow made from Candy Cane striped ribbon.  The sweet polar bears are a stamp from Paper Wishes called Polar Bear Small Stamp .The heart was cut out and embossed with my Cuttlebug, and LOVE was also cut out with my Cuttlebug

I had originally thought the challenge was going to be impossible, but to my surprise it was fun and I absolutely LOVE the card!!!

Love Is In The Air

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I love this Winter Valentine.....we still have snow on the ground where we live so this is just perfect!

So perfect that I'm giving it to my husband :)

The sweet image in this shaker card is from Sami Stamps Shop and is called Winter Romance.

The beautiful snowflake paper is Color Me paper from Paper Wishes but I chose not to color it because it is perfect just the way it is.  I colored the image with Inktense watercolor pencils.  And the shaker card has sequins in it.  The scalloped oval frame and the word LOVE were die cut using my Cuttlebug.  The snowflakes we were punched and then topped with Mod Podge Sparkle.

This is a perfect example of what you can enter at Scrapbook Blessings Club challenge this month....it is called Christmas Card Valentine and you just have to make a Valentine using some of your Christmas stash.

Step Block Card? Block Step Card?

I honestly don't know what this card fold is called.

I think it was called a box card but I didn't think that was a good name for it.  If you know what it's called, or just have a suggestion, please leave me a comment.  Thank you :)

I fell in love with this card fold the second I saw it.  It turns out to be so much easier to make than it looks and I love that it is good for any age or occasion!  To learn how to make this just watch my YouTube tutorial HERE

"Finger Paint" with Gelatos

Grown-ups can "finger paint" too!!!

The MFP Stamp Shop had a blog hop and a challenge to use one of the techniques that was shared by a DT member.

I liked Sandy's technique that you can see by clicking HERE ... she used Gelatos to finger paint a beautiful bookmark ... and that inspired me to try it.  I really liked the bookmard idea, and the scene she "painted" was similar to something I had cone a couple years ago on a card for my husband, so I decided replicate the scene from my husband's card.

The difference between this and the card I made for my husband is I actually had to create the reflections of the trees on his card, and this one I used a stamp that already has the trees reflections.

It is part of a stamp set by Theresa Momber and is called "Life is Good".  I got it at Gina K. Designs 

I'm entering this in the MFP Stamp Shop Blog Hop Challenge

Bee Mine Valentine

Making cards for my granddaughters is easy....making them for my grandson not so easy.  But I think this Bee Mine image from Sunsational Stamps is just perfect.

I had some paper that looks like sky with fluffy clouds and thought that it would be perfect for the bees flying in the sky.  I colored the heart and the bees wings with Twinkling H2O watercolors so they has a nice shimmer.  The BEE MINE! was done using Zig 2 Way glue pen and gold foil.  The bees were colored with Distress Markers.  I printed the image THREE times so I could cut and layer it creating a 3D effect and used 3D Foam Squares for dimension.

I love adding sparkle and dimension to things.
