New Style Bendy Card & Tutorial

We all like dimensional cards, bendy cards, etc....

well I think you will LOVE this!!!

My niece sent me a picture of a similar style card and asked me if I knew how to make it....well I had never seen one before but went straight to my craftroom and it took me just a few minutes to come up with something.  I'm not sure what it's called but I'm just calling it a 

New Style Bendy Card.

The Birthday card was my first.  

I used a die to make the top and bottom edges more elegant.  I also die cut butterflies and the fence that's in the background.  Then I added some flowers and pearls and a bow.

The second one I made is this Christmas card.

I used my Cricut Imagine for the 3D Santa and 3D house, and I die cut the trees and deer with a CTMH stamp & die set that they no longer sell.  The cardstock has a beautiful, subtle Winter scene printed on it and I got that from Michaels last Christmas.  I added some Stickles to resemble snow on the edges of the house and trees.

Step Card Made Easy

I have a few followers and YouTube subbies that are beginner cardmakers and they don't have a lot of craft tools and machines.  I few requested I share some easy card folds that can be done with basic supplies.  I chose to share the Step Card.

There are many different Step folds....Side Step, Center Step, and more...but this is just the basic Step Card.

I know....a Christmas card in April right...lol  Well there are a lot of challenges that do Christmas cards year round :)

The wonderful stamp and die set I used is "Woodland Wishes" from CTMH, but it was seasonal and no longer available.  I have to say that's one of the things I don't like about CTMH is that some things are only available for a few months and then gone...sorry.  And I wish the lighting had been better so you could see the sparkle (glitter) from the CTMH Shimmer Brush

Upcycle - Distressed Weathered Shabby Chic Vintage Crackled Technique

It's amazing how you take something like a bottle or old cutting board from a yard sale... OR... old furniture... OR even a $1 picture frame... and turn it into something beautiful.  I love upcycling and I am LOVING this crackle technique!!!

I haven't yet decided how I'm decorating the old cutting board, but I am so thrilled with how the frame and bottle came out.  I will be doing this on a "ladder" plant stand next... and who knows what else :)

Bible Journaling For The Creative Soul - Psalm 27-1

I don't always do my Bible journaling in My Creative Bible...

I also enjoy  using a little binder I got from CTMH, it's called an Instalife Album , and that is what I used today.

The verse I used is Psalm 27:1
